I not a fan of playing with bathroom fixtures especially since I only have one bathroom. I had a leaky pfiser tube handle. Could not find them anywhere sold separately. Purchased this kit and it was very easy to install Note: I already swapped out the pressure balanced cartridge so I already had the 974-042. Had some problems getting the tub spout out to replace it with a new one, a little effort with a pipe wrench helped.
Overall this product is very heavy metal so it should last a very long time.

This faucet set is very good heavy and good quality. The price seemed really good. Pay attention to the title it says TRIM ONLY that means the valve is not in this package that is another $53.00. Save your self some time and order it at the same time.

This product looks fantastic in our new bathroom and is made well. The bathtub faucet metal opening is filed smooth (I know this because our baby has hit his head on it a few times while bathing but so far no cuts). I would definitely recommend it. However, I wouldn’t want this style if I lived in a hot climate: if you want a cold or cool shower you would only get a drizzle of water. As you turn the handle the temperature and water force goes up. My son wants a small drizzle of water coming out of the faucet to play with in his bath; but it’s cold water. 😔 You can’t have a drizzle of warm water and you can’t have a lot of cold water with this style faucet.
