The big box home improvement chains are only selling after-market cartridges which they claim to be replacements. They don’t work and they cost more than the manufacturer’s part on pfisteroutlet.com. I bought an after-market cartridge at Lowes and learned my lesson. I had to return it the next day. If you have Price Pfister faucets, it’s cheaper and better to get the real deal parts.

This cartridge did not fit my Hanover Kitchen Faucet the stem was too short.

Works like a charm. The instructions could be more detailed and if you put the old metal nut back on top don’t forget to put the washer over the stem and under the net.

This was just what I needed to fix a dripping faucet. Less expensive than a store brand replacement at the big box. You may need to remove the blue cap to retro fit this for your faucet. The Pfister website has details. If you the original owner of the faucet you may qualify for free replacement parts.

The valve eventually worked, but the instructions for replacing it are awful. This valve replaces several different ones, by removing the top section (blue), but you have to use the old washer from the original one. More complex, due to lousy, picture-only instructions. Frankly, don’t buy this brand in the first place! It would have been a whole lot less frustrating to replace the entire faucet. (I’ll stick with Moen. They will replace parts for free, besides.)
