Pfister is the fifth largest U.S. manufacturer of faucets behind Delta, Moen, Kohler and American Standard. Once known as Price-Pfister, the company has gone through several owners since the 1980s and is now owned by Spectrum Brands (formerly Ray-O-Vac) which bought Pfister from Stanley Black and Decker in 2012. Under Spectrum, Pfister has seen steady growth in quality and sales. The company’s faucets are similar in build quality to those of the other top five U.S. manufacturers.
And this is a beautiful faucet from Pfister. Build quality is superb with copper lines to below the counter (you must provide the lines from the copper to the valves0. The finish, which Pfister calls “Spot-Defense Stainless Steel” is a truly nice, brushed-look stainless that does a superb job of resisting spots. The spray end of the faucet is stainless, not plastic and it retracts smoothly into the faucet spout, held securely in place by an effective magnet.
The faucet comes with an in-counter soap dispenser that is solidly made from the same stainless as the faucet itself and covered by the lifetime warranty as well. I’m not a fan of in-counter dispensers, but it’s included at the price.
Also included at the price is an escutcheon, or mounting plate, to cover a three hole sink base or countertop if your kitchen currently has a three-hole setup and you’re not replacing it. This also is typically an extra-cost item with other manufacturers.
Heavy, solid and attractive. This is simply a quality faucet in every way from Pfister.
Pfister’s warranty is a lifetime limited warranty like those of other the top manufacturers. Reviews suggest Pfister has less responsive customer service than other top manufacturers. BUT, this is not as bad as it sounds; what people complain about is not warranty service where they need new parts. Parts are shipped and warranties are honored. The problem is contracted overseas call centers where there is no knowledge of the product beyond the parts lists and the ability to send a part. Knowing what the problem is and giving advice on issues seems to be the primary complaint.

The sprayer does not go back into place very easy. It’s a pain.

It looks very nice but it didn’t come with the hoses to hook it up to the hot and cold lines under the sink
not good in my opinon.

I knew this was a nice unit because some friends have had one for several years and are happy with it and the service they received from Pfister. I was having a bit of an issue installing it and ended up pinching the o-ring on one of the supply lines on about the 3rd attempt (mostly me and the inaccessibility of them) but they immediately sent out replacements when I notified them and it is in and dry now.

I have been using this faucet for 6 months. It has a lovely design, easy turn on handle, and it sprays with adequate pressure. However, it has one major design flaw, which is also noted by other reviewers. When the sprayer is pulled out of the arm for use, it doesn’t automatically spring back into place. Worse, you have to manually turn and click the sprayer head to fit it back into the arm. If I used the sink a lot, which I don’t, that would be a deal breaker for me.
