It is a pain updating your bathroom fixtures. Nobody tells you that each company makes it’s own special valve. So if you originally installed a Moen, you have to update with a Moen, with the exact same valve (sometimes the companies update their own valves). This requires you to pay a plumber (who seem to work for nothing short of $100+ an hour) to install a new valve if you want to change to a different brand of fixtures.
