   It was a smooth swap out for the old cartridge however the open/close direction is the same as the hot water tap. Even Pfister’s website says this tap is for the “cold” side.

   As mentioned by others, this cartridge is listed as a right hand (cold) cartridge, but actually operates like the hot. Rotation to open is counterclockwise so did they stop making cold cartridges? It looks like it for this vintage (80s). It does work though, and rather than replacing the whole faucet for over $200, I will live with it for now.
   Not sure why they have different part numbers for hot and cold.

   This is a one “fits all” product for fixing the older Pfister washerless bath room sinks. What I mean is, originally they came in rights and lefts but now it seems only one side is availalble. This seems weird and worried me at first as I thought there was a rea diffenrce in the Hot vs Cold sides as indicated in the original paperwork that I still have. However, I found that it fits both hot and cold sides perfectly….no difference Only thing is and I do not mind,… is the faucet handles both thur in the same direction which actually seems more intuitive to me than one going right and one left.

   The part arrived and looked like the original. It stopped the leak but the top section that mounts the handle was so loose that the handle wobbled, it was terrible in this regard. I was very disappointed with the quality of the part. It is so hard to find replacement parts for Price Pfister that I would not purchase another of their products and definitely not one that uses a cartridge type valve.

   The original stem is chrome with machine screw thread for handle. This replacement does not. It is brass, and disappointing made with a thread insert nut for handle. My local hardware stores do not carry this replacement stem. 910-825 is for HOT WATER side.

   I needed a cartridge for my right (cold side) and apparently my plumber said that this is for the left hand side or counter clockwise. They have their model number wrong. I kept thinking I was doing something wrong when I installed this. But I need a clockwise cartridge. I will update to five stars if they give me my money back. They need to do better.

    This part is the replacement part for hot water (or counterrotaation) side. The cold water side is part number 910-6830. But looks like pfisteroutlet.com does not carry it. You can find it uisng google search. Replacement is very easy, took 5 minutes. Will give 5 star if Pfister put more detail on the package label. Be aware that 910-6830 listed in Pfister web site shows that part is for hot water which is incorrect. It should just indicates it opeerates counterclockwise, instad left or right, hot or cold.

    Pfister OEM part lasted about 20 years- Warranted for LIFE…Installed new Pfister Georgetown faucet in 1994 The hot side was leaking so installed a Danco Perfect Match 80359 Faucet Seat Washer For Price Pfister sold for $2 at my local hardware store. The Danco had a slightly different profile than the OEM hydroseal and that is all that my hardware store had on hand and it worked to stop my leak… The seat was worn and pitted so I considered the new Danco hydroseal a stop gap until Pfister shipped a replacement cartridge as a part of their lifetime warranty on finish and function…I needed to give installation date and part number as the Pfister Rep seemed unable to find what I needed in his database. NOTE: The cartridge assembly is a two piece unit on my Georgetown widespread Pfister faucet… The bottom metal portion with the OEM hydroseal Price Pfister 949-360 Hydro-Seal, 2 Count UNDERNEATH had to be removed by catching the small groove just ABOVE the seal with a o-ring removal tool I already had on hand Lisle 31840 O Ring and Seal Pick and a firm tug. Initially I sucked the water out with a straw and could see the top of the hydroseal when I peered in with a flashlight… After I saw a photo online of the entire cartridge assembly, with the groove in the base, I figure I could hook the groove from the INSIDE and remove the bottom portion. I did NOT notice this groove when looking down from the top with a flashlight. Note newer Pfister faucets (after 1996) have a ceramic valve that probably will last longer than its owner.
