I had to replace a couple of all-metal drains and found that the products advertised as all metal from Home Depot and Lowes still used plastic drain collars, a hokey plastic stopper lever and stopper control hardware.
The Pfister parts, on the other hand are VERY high quality, all metal parts. Only the seals are plastic or rubber. I’m also happy that the drain collar includes it’s own rubber gasket for the seal at the top of the sink to make sure water doesn’t leak past when the stopper is closed. Look around, no one else does this, others require that you use silicon goo. The collar itself is all metal. They also have a really nice concave shape to drain out as much water as possible and the finish looks great. I’m really happy with these!

The pipe and drain on this assembly are solid and definitely a functional and aesthetic improvement from the plastic one it replaced. The stopper doesn’t make a tight seal though, so water seeps through when it’s closed. The plunger itself is lightweight and does not fit well in the drain. This means it doesn’t stay centered, and if it’s anywhere between completely closed or completely open it leans off to one side. If you want to be able to keep water in your sink, consider looking elsewhere.

Worked perfectly.

My original drain plug actuator corroded and plug would not open up. This replacement worked perfectly

I bought this to install instead of the plastic one that came with my whole new bathroom faucet. If feels substantially heavier and like good quality material. It also has a very nice looking brushed nickel finish. My only complaint is, similar to other reviews, the stopper does not sit firmly up when the stopper is not in use (most of the time). It is wobbly, loose, and leans to one side which is not ideal. However, it does allow the water to drain well and so it doesn’t pool up. If I use the stopper, it does seal well and the bowl will hold water as designed.

This is a very good quality all metal sink drain. It is not the same quality as the Kohler drain but it’s pretty close with a much better price.

It was very difficult to find a drain assembly with all-metal fittings. The assemblies I found at Home Depot and other hardware stores had plastic rings to hold in the ball joint, and those tend to break down over time. The assembly worked perfectly, was of higher quality than comparable assemblies, and was a little less expensive than others as well.
