I tried to use this device to remove the plastic retainer nut on an old Price Pfister kitchen faucet control cartridge, the stated use for this tool.. It did not work. The tool is hollow and pretty thin walled. The tool’s flimsy plastic points deformed inwards and slipped in the retainer nut with very minimal torque. The plastic retainer was no where close to turning when the tool failed.
The tool went in the trash after the attempt, a total waste of $10.
Buy the bronze replacement retainer nut and use channel locks to remove the old plastic nut without worrying about damaging the plastic. you’ll be money and frustration ahead!

This little tool made it easy to swap cartridges in our bathroom sink faucet. The new cartridge fit exactly but faucet ended up being replaced under company lifetime warranty due to some internal issue within the faucet itself. It’s nice to see a company stand behind their lifetime warranty. New replacement faucet fixed bathroom vanity now water flowing as expected.

An unusual tool for a funny plastic Price Pfister “nut” to take out the cartridge that let’s the hot and cold water to go through. Without this tool, I likely would have damaged the plastic nut. This truly is the right tool for the job. As long as I keep the Price Pfister Marielle sink plumbing, I will keep this tool just to change the cartridge. 5 STARS!!!
