   First talked with sales rep and was given and was given part numbers to order. Ordered from pfisteroutlet.com and received correct part numbers. Two things were NQR (not quite right). Stem was too long plus my original stem has threads cut to facilitate a chrome cylinder. So I rebuilt the original stem and will return NQR cylinder.

   I routinely use these Price Pfister “PP” embossed valve stems to replace tub/shower valve stems in 50+ year old American Standard two valve tub/shower valve assemblies because these Price Pfister Valve stems typically cost considerably less than American Standard Valve Stems and work just as well, or better! Price Pfister valve stems have a larger diameter rubber washer, that seats just as well, or better than smaller diameter American Standard rubber washers.
