The quality is very nice and design is modern. Pay attention to the details for where you are installing it. Our pipes were not initially compatible and we had to have a plumber come to fit it to our existing pipes.

After doing research, I decided to buy this shower trim kit – and boy, I’m glad I did! The feature I liked the most was the 3 spray modes. It gives me the flexibility to adjust the water flow as per my preference, which is a big plus. Super pleased with this purchase.

The spout is damaged the white plastic ring is cracked, cannot return the product because the other parts of the purchase are installed. Not happy now I need to try to find another spout which will cost me more money

Pfister used to be Price-Pfister and a recognized quality brand. The brand has gone through a few owners in recent years and has been shorn of half its name, but it’s reemerging as a quality American-owned manufacturer of plumbing fixtures. I believe it’s the fourth or fifth largest American plumbing fixture manufacturer now, behind the giants (Moen, Delta, American Standard), but it seems to me that being a bit behind the pack in size and sales, Pfister is running harder to catch up.
So, you get in this pack for the price a number of things you might pay extra for elsewhere.
First, there’s no need to buy an extra rough-in valve for you wall. The entire valve unit is in the box. Now that may be a problem at some point if you need to replace the ceramic cartridge, but who has ever replaced the cartridge on a tub/shower valve fixture? I’ve done it on kitchen faucets and I’ve replaced the non-ceramic innards of my old shower’s separate hot and cold valves, but I’ve never known anyone to replace a single-cartridged, combined hot and cold valve in a tub. Plus, this is far easier for the do-it-yourselfer to install as a single unit.
Second, the price includes solid metal pieces in every important area. The only piece that isn’t all metal is the shower head, and plastic isn’t uncommon even in showerheads that cost as much alone as this entire tub/shower set costs.
Third, the installation instructions are much easier to use and more complete than other manufacturers’.
Fourth, simple little things that help the DIYer include a dual means of installing the tub spout–you can slip it over a copper pipe without needing to sweat the connection or you can remove the interior plastic piece for use with copper and inside the spout there is a female receiver for a threaded nipple coming through the wall if that’s the route you want to take–a more secure route, it seems to me, given that the spout hangs off its supply line.
Overall, this is a fine set and a real bargain it seems to me at the price.
