The Pfister LF042EINC Inertia Electronic Faucet is a welcome new design that works far better than we anticipated. The faucet body is all metal and is extremely strong. Deep shinny chrome finish that wipes down easily.
Installation was fast and easy. Total time for my install was less than 30 minutes. The faucet comes with Allen wrench, and a hand socket for tightening the mounting nut. It comes with a 3 hole sink base plate for sinks that have 3 holes like in my installation. It also includes a single hole base plate. The hoses are long enough for most installations. It also includes batteries (AA 6 ea) which fit into a water tight case that goes in the top of the faucet head. The top of the faucet it secured using two Allen Screws and the wrench is included. The top is a tight fit and has an o-ring to seal it.
The sensor for this faucet works amazingly well. Placing hands in front of it and under water flow area turns it on and off as soon as your hands leave the water flow.
The only complaint I have, the solenoid that turns the water flow on and off is noisy. It is a hard off. To the point it hammers the water lines in my home. I wish they would have used a solenoid that has a soft shutoff. I’m going to try and contact Pfister to see if they have a suggestion on reducing this. This may not be an issue for most people. My wife thinks it works perfectly. For this reason I’m not giving a lesser star count.
All in all this is a really nice auto faucet that we are happy to have in our home and in the bathroom our guest use. My wife wants me to get one for our master bath too.
