The original is probably still in the trap but $5 is a cheap cost for not breaking things apart and creating a leak. The handle now tightens properly.

I couldn’t find this little guy anywhere. At major retail home improvment stores. I was worried, I was gonna have to buy a new faucet. It’s been over a year and it’s hold up just fine so far. May need to order another for my other sink that’s dripping now.
