excellent valve. It took the plumber some time to install it but it works very well. It even has a temperature control knob for the Hot water. It goes from 80 degrees to maximum 120 degrees. The valve is set to work from 100 to 120 degrees but can be changed. The valve is solid and works well with a good water flow.

We purchased this valve for a new shower. The first cartridge began leaking immediately after installation of the valve. My contractor contacted Price Pfister. The cartridge was on back order (a bad sign) so the sent the entire valve new. My contracter installed this cartridge and it looked good so the tile work was completed. Two weeks later after the shower door was installed we began using the shower. I removed the trim to adjust the thermostatic control on the hot water and discovered the second cartridge leaking into the wall space. Tile work is now competted and the only way to access the rough in is through the wall behind the shower, unless of course we want to rip out the new tile. I contacted customer service and they, once again, sent the new valve. I installed the new cartridge and it too started leaking withiun 24 hours. We have now ripped out the drywall behind the shower plumbing and will be replacing the valve with something, anything, other than a Price Pfister product. Stay as far away from this company as you can.

These Pfister Thermostatic valves (this one and the 3/4 single outlet/shower valve) are absolutely killer. They are solidly built and being thermostatic only effect the house’s pressure, not the temperature when someone turns on the water in another room. I’ve had this valve for a month or two in one bathroom and the 3/4″ thermostatic in our downstairs shower for over a year. They are well worth the price.

Automatic control of shower temperature is wonderful. No more fiddling with a super-touchy single lever control. Just set the temp you want once and you’re done. Also you can choose how fast a flow you want and that won’t affect the temperature. The one drawback is, the minimum temperature is around 80 degrees F (about 29 C I believe). So if you want a bucket of cold water, you’re not going to get it from this valve.

Install it in one of 3 bathrooms, that is now the only shower that is used all the time. The only bad thing is temperature gage is in Fahrenheit and not in Celsius.
