   This matte black bathroom faucet is beautiful and will look fabulous in my soon-to-be newly remodeled master bathroom. I love the sleek lines and modern style, and the matte black finish is my new favorite. This faucet includes a pop-up drain stopper, which is nice – no more having that annoying little knob on a stick (the closure mechanism for the old fixtures) to have to clean around. My only complaint, and the thing that kept this from getting a five-star review is the fact there are three blemishes – very close together – on the faucet. (see the closeup picture in this review) I can live with them and no one but me will probably ever notice them, but that cost the item a star. Looks like the matte finish may not have been completely dry before the piece was handled or packaged. Overall, though, I am looking forward to getting this installed (still waiting on the cabinets and counter tops to get installed).

   I purchased this to replace a new faucet that we installed in our recently renovated bathroom. The previous faucet set back too far and the waterfall spout didn’t clear the counter when it was turned on low and water splashed all over the counter. This one sets in the same place but the spout comes over far enough that water doesn’t splash at all! It has a strong flow and looks good. Our handyman installed it in about an hour or less, I wasn’t keeping exact time. He said it was pretty easy and no issues.

   I like Pfister faucets because I think they have pretty nice designs and decent quality in their lower-end products, and this faucet looks and feels exactly par for the course in that regard with solid feeling construction and a matte black finish that is smooth and completely free of blemishes. The handles turn smoothly and very little effort is required to open and close the valves, and it’s an attractive faucet that fits perfectly with our black and white Asian-themed downstairs half bath. What I don’t like about Pfister faucets is the horrible mounting hardware. They use simple hex nuts and washers to tighten the faucet and handles to the deck, and it is impossible to keep them (faucet and handles) straight when tightening the nuts down properly. So, if you don’t have a second person to hold them in place while tightening, you will constantly be going under the sink to tighten the nuts a little bit, then back up top to straighten the faucet, then back under the sink to tighten the nuts a little bit, then…well, you get the picture. There are two simple solutions that would rectify this aggravating situation: either change to lock nuts (best option IMO), or use grippy material instead of plastic for the bases of the faucet and handles so they won’t spin on the slippery sink when the nuts are being torqued down. I have purchased cheap no-name faucets that utilize both of the aforementioned methods for the easiest installations you could imagine, but, for some reason, it seems that Pfister really wants you feel like you earned something to get their faucets installed. And this is not the whining of a novice, I have installed a lot of faucets in my home as well as family member’s homes over the years, and Pfister continues to be the most difficult ones I have encountered. I really do like the faucet, but the installation could and should be so much easier.

   Wanted black fixtures & had actually purchased a different black Pfister faucet which did not have the higher arched faucet. While I don’t have the need for that access that often, I realized there were enough times where it is a great convenience, so purchased the Vaneri faucet to use instead. I will either resell the other style or just install in my other bathroom. The pop up drain, though not great if you need to put your hand in the water to release, does work well and is easy to remove to clean. It also gives you full open access to the drain pipe from above, which could come in handy should anything manage to fall down the drain. I gave only 4 stars on the install as my boyfriend hit a few hiccups in the install & it took way longer than it should have. He is not a plumber, but knowledgeable & experienced enough that it should have been more seamless…plus the handles did not easily line up & we still need to make that adjustment. A tiny thing but to me an important thing in appearance.
