This is indeed, exactly what I needed. But I wasn't sure until I received it because the image displayed in the description is similar to the actual item, but it is not the same valve. The 1/2-Turn Stop Valve in the picture I attached is the correct image for the Pfister 9709800 1/2-Turn Stop Valve.

The photos and the description of this product are not accurate. It shows a full system with handheld and a shower bar. However, what I got was a showerhead and a valve.

  • I looked for a long time before ordering this faucet. I am slowly making updates to my kitchen and want things that are going to last. I saw this faucet & liked the clean, modern design. I like things simple, not a lot of bells & whistles. The squared base is a little different & liked the fluid, modern design. The brushed nickel of the faucet is throughout my kitchen, so obviously goes well with what I have. I prefer the high arc faucets like this, as it is easier to fill pots & when cleaning dishes. It is an attractive faucet. I am not going to use the soap dispenser, but comes with the faucet. It’s a nice bonus for those who do use them. I also liked what I read about Pfister & their warranty service. I want things that will last. From what I read about Pfister they have been in business a long time & make quality products. My initial response to receiving this, is that is will hold up. Comes with a quick installation guide and maintenance & care guide. I look forward to seeing this in our kitchen when all work is done. I really like this faucet & glad something came along the I truly like. I am not overly picky, I just don’t love many of the faucet designs that are out there at the moment. This one is for me. In the past I have had to settle. I would recommend this faucet.

  • Absolutely ridiculous that this product came in a random box wrapped in plastic still dripping from the last person that tried to install it. No where was there a mention that the product was used. Do better.

Perfect replacement for the cheap stuff they still keep making the internal components from. Our original valve lasted about 6 years. If you’re having a hard time turning your faucet on and off, this may be your fix! Took me 30 min total to disconnect everything, turn off water, disconnect lines, remove broken valve and replace with this one. They give you a separate O-ring to use with different set ups. I didn’t need the second O-ring. Works perfect! Also- (for me) if you have hard water and calcium is eating away at your stuff, a good dunk in 25% Muriatic acid will bubble it all away from the internal components of your faucet handle. Of course, be careful, not for the faint of heart. Need outdoors, gloves etc. It can be dangerous if you don’t know what your doing!!

    It works

  • This shower head is about 5 1/2 inches across. It is made of plastic with a metal attachment fitting, but seems sturdy enough. It has a brushed nickel finish. It comes with basic directions and a pre-installed rubber seal. It did not come with teflon tape which is sometimes needed on the pipe threads of the shower arm. It has a small lever to change the spray pattern. Under the rubber washer/screen it appears the flow restrictor is a small o-ring that can probably be removed with a tiny screwdriver. I did not remove this, but if you have low water pressure it might help.

What I received even on the 2nd replacement is not a Pfister diverter stem. Is is mislabeled as a Pfister diverter stem, rather it is a Pfister hot and or cold water stem. Also the diverter stem has a wider thread, so what I received twice is a pfister hot cold water stem that has a smaller diameter thread so it will also not fit. I gave up trying to return for a second time, iI just kept it in my plumbing parts bin in my house. Went to big box store and got a real diverter stem from equivalent manufacturer. That fit perfectly. See my last image of how the end of a diverter stem should look like. You see that rectangular gap near the end, that is what the Pfister stem should look like for the Pfister diverter stem.

The faucet in my guest bathroom was in desperate need of replacement. This Pfister Deckard Widespread Bath Faucet is simple, sleek, modern and just plain beautiful. The faucet is sturdy, heavy and feels like a quality faucet that will last. The chrome is shiny and sleek. It really gives the guest bathroom a modern appearance. My husband took out the old faucet and installed this one a couple hours. He reports the instructions are easy to understand, the hardware is heavy duty, he expects it to last and the install was easy. The handles are large and easy for my kids to turn on and off. I will say that the chrome does show fingerprints but they are easily wiped off with a micro fiber cloth. This is a very nice faucet and we are very pleased with it. I will definitely be buying Pfister when we are ready to update the master bath.

  • Bought it under "used" from pfisteroutlet.com. Looks and works new. Great for one source, two outlets. In my case, two shower heads.

  • Opened bag to find damaged, re-taped box. Plumber here for install, and I have no faucet. And I paid for a product I did not get.

  • Great buy! Looks great, easy install.

My older (c2004) series 88 Price Pfister shower control started leaking and I confirmed with Pfister that the cartridge (pn 974-0230) needed to repair it is no longer available. They advised that I obtain cartridge pn 974-0420 but that "the trim will need to be updated to any current single-handle Pfister trim". This looked similar in style to my original unit so I ordered it. This is a nice solid unit and it fits and functions well. The prior unit had water volume control in addition to temp control but I'm told this feature has been phased out due to safety concerns with scalding, so this unit only has temp control. There were no instructions included with the unit but given my knowledge of the earlier unit I was able to figure out how to install it. Installation is not the same but it is similar.

  • This is a nice faucet. Looks great in my powder room.
